Please rank these 4 cl. for the rest of the season:
2. Which of the following will have the highest value next year in a std. 5×5 mixed keeper:
All four of these closers are very similar in value but if I had to pick one I’d go with the one I could acquire least expensively. All four have excellent strikeout rates but have minor flaws: Gonzalez has a high walk rate and pitches for a poor team; Fuentes pitches half his games in Coors; Julio has been walk- and homer-prone in the past; Saito is still an unknown and has Danys Baez waiting in the wings should he stumble. Any of the four should give you good value the rest of the way but none are without risk.
As for next season, I’d rank Upton first because of his stolen base totals and position eligibility, even if he’s only eligible at third base. Marte comes next, followed by Young and Wood. All are premium prospects so my ranking is based primarily upon who is closest to the Majors, what categories they fill and what positions they play.
