Hey Guys,
I have a few quick questions. I have just started listening in and totally agree with the statement that 3b is completely stacked this year. I actually am shocked with how low Ryan Braun has gone in many drafts. I selected him before the likes of Ryan Howard and Matt Holiday and the reason is that you guys have stated the importance of having your initial picks create a solid base across the board statistically and Braun gives you that. He is a 30/30 guy easy and probably more and has dual eligibility this year with 3b and OF.

My next question is why isn’t Aki from Tampa Bay being ranked higher than he is? With his move to 2B I feel he is one of the better options especially since he will be atop a pretty good tampa lineup. and last, will Felipe Lopez start at either 2b or ss this year for the nationals or get traded?

Love the show, thanks

Jimmy

IN MY LEAGUE WE GET TWO KEEPER SPOTS RESERVED FOR LAST YEARS ROOKIES. I CANT DECIDE BETWEEN PEDROIA, DREW, AND BUTLER. I ALLREADY HAVE ROLLINS AND UTLEY SO POSITION IS NOT A FACTOR. WHICH TWO WOUD YOU KEEP?

I just have one question, what is the deal with Carlos Pena? Is it even possible that he will have a 30 home run season this season?

My auction league has a minor league system, so good young players are at a premium. I have a trade offer where I get Jair Jurrjens of Atlanta ($4 this year) for Jeff Niemann of the Rays and Nolan Reimold of the O’s ($1 each if they’re in the majors). What do you think?

Quick hits for those who missed the chat:

* Braun is a legit first-round bat but he may be falling since he’s only had less than one full season and people want certainty with that first pick. I don’t mind that but I’d grab him in the 12-15 range;

* Iwamura has very little power or speed, and plays in a good but not great lineup… he’s a nice late round pickup but not what I would call a target guy;

* I think Pena is a safe pick for 30-35 homers again but expecting 46 again is probably not realistic… stick to Prince or Howard for that!

* Jurrjens could make 20+ starts this year due to the uncertainty of the Braves rotation this year, so at $4 he’s a decent gamble.

Thanks,

Cory
