BLUE JAYS DISABLE ROMERO
The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have placed LHP RICKY ROMERO on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique muscle strain. The move is retro-active to April 20
ROMERO, 24, is 2-0 with a 1.71 ERA after three starts this season, his first in the major leagues. The 6-0, 210 lb. native of Los Angeles, California won his major league debut on April 9th over the Detroit Tigers (6.0IP, 7H, 2ER, 2BB, 5K). Romero was the Blue Jays first round selection, sixth overall in the 2005 first year player draft.
A further roster move will be made prior to Saturday’s game at Chicago.

Wow…terrible about Ricky. In my 12team roto keeper league Im 10 saves and 6 holds out from the top relief categories. Im thinking of punting saves and focusing on dominating holds. Do you recommend some sleeper hold guys????

I will never recommend punting unless it’s mid-late August and you can’t gain any points or lose more then say 1 point. Holds guys are a dime a dozen, go to leaders find holds and sort.

Glad to hear the Podcasts will be longer, that is awesome! Do you think Brandon Wood will get any at bats? Why bring a guy up who is on a hot streak to ride the bench. Either let him continue to mash in AAA or see if he can handle MLB pitching now. I just don’t understand the Angels. Keep up the great work!Jadednyc
Jaded,
He’s on the shuttle right now. Al only on very deep bench mixed I take a shot but other then that it may be a while until he sees everyday ABs.

Joel Pinerio…..worth a pickup in a 12 team H2H points league??? I don’t want to chase wins – but playing pretty well on a pretty good team. No K’s worry some too…
One more for today cause I am especially stressed…. Encarnacion? Are you leaving him in there in a 12 team mixed vanilla? Or picking up Casey Blake, Kouz, Feliz or some other waiver wire bat?
Thanks Much,
Jaded
Jays have put BJ Ryan on the 15 day disabled list too.
