pitching well lately, but I’m not chancing it in Coors
***Siano says “If
you’re pitching Smoltz you have to pitch Pedro so I say Pitch on Pedro. He will give the Mets another reason to start counting down the days until Jets and
Giants football. Snell coming off a decent start vs Detroit is an interesting
gamble vs Oakland if you’re in the chasing wins mood. Agree on
rest.”

If you cover up the names and just look at the numbers, Kevin Correia might be a good gamble at home these days, although the Cards are a less than favorable matchup. I’ll take my chances, as I have with him recently. I haven’t been overly disappointed. Again, taking small chunks of time into consideration (last 5, last 10 starts), a guy like Correia has much better numbers than some others on the “pitch” list for this weekend.

Okay, so I look like a jackass again…thanks Correia. So much for thinking for myself. I guess I should just be a freakin sock puppet and let Mike and Cory pick my pitchers everyday…why put effort into trying to find helpful players when these 2 have sold their souls to the devil to make people like me look stupid? Pitch Big Erv with a bad elbow and 9 sucky starts out of 12, and he gives 3 straight “quality” starts, but try to find guys with sub-4 ERAs in their split/matchup to sneak into my lineup (and recommend to others on here) and they bomb as soon as I mention their names (Correia, and Hammel when I recommended him, but I also started him last time when he pitched well). Why teach concepts when you can just tell me exactly who to play here on this forum?
Sorry, but I’m FRUSTRATED right now!!!!! But I’m still here, even after drafting a fantasy football team tonight.

Why Hudson Street did not get a SAVE on Rockies’ win on Saturday vs. the Giants?
He got in the ninth, with 3 runs advantage and struck out the last two batters of the game.
Can somebody explain that to me?
The save rule calls for a pitcher to either come into the game with the potential tying or winning run either on base, at bat, or on deck, or pitch at least one inning with a lead of 3 runs or less. Street came into the game with a 3 run lead, but the bases were empty, and he only pitched 2/3 of an inning.

Nice job on the clarification, Greg. Glad you’re still here despite having already drafted your fantasy football team. I’m not ready for football quite yet either!
