Pitch
or Ditch is a strategy for (ideally) daily mixed leagues in which you
pick up
starters on a day-to-day basis based on how well they are pitching and
their
upcoming matchups, then cut them in favor of new guys the next day. The
concept
is that the shallower the league, the more quality starting pitching is
available on the free agent wire, so rather than drafting expensive
starters,
it’s better to build a strong offense and bullpen and let the free agent
wire
populate your starting staff during the season. As a bonus, a handful of
“PoD”
guys emerge each year as worth keeping all year long, like Jair Jurrjens
last
year or Cliff Lee in ’08.

My four would be Kinsler, Jeter, McCann, Lee. I know most people would probably keep Bautista but I need to see him do this again. Considering his insane price tag, he won’t be on any of my teams next year, that’s for sure. Jeter is definitely in decline but he’ll still give you plenty of production from the thin SS position. Lee vs. Oswalt is a real toss-up but I’d give Lee the edge. It’s very possible that he’s a Yankee next year which would only increase his value.

Gret Show! I’m in a 12 team league. I get to keep 3 player, at least one bat and one pitcher must be in.
My bat options: Miguel Cabrera, Longoria, Pedroia, V-Mart, McCutchen, Kelly Johnson, Buttler, Cruz
My pitcher options: Ubaldo, Price, T Hudson.
I supposed Cabrera and Longoria are on the list. But i still don’t know if i could pick 2 first round player, due to internal league rules. Who would you pick if Cabrea and Longoria are not in the list.
Keep in mind i should finish in first place, therefore i will have 12th pick on draft day.
