Colon @ Lindblom

Lester @ Axelrod

Correia @ Teheran

Cueto @ Marcum – whose spot is Cueto taking, Cingrani or Leake??

Hamels @ Sanabia – mismatch of the day, so Marlins will probably win 7-2

Kershaw @ Gallardo

Corbin @ Garland

S. Miller @ Marquis

Detwiler @ Vogelsong – Detwiler not 100%, Vogelsong simply terrible

***ZACH SAYS “For Sunday, I’d take a chance on Tillman. He’s now strung together five straight quality starts and the Rays’ offense currently ranks next to last in the AL in runs scored on the road. For Monday, there’s no way I’m starting Hughes coming off his dreadful performance vs. the Mariners. In fact, I wouldn’t be opposed to flat out dropping him in any mixed league. He’s been way too erratic this year.”

Wondering what your feelings are on Roberto Hernandez? He has a great K/BB rate and a really unlucky HR rate. More generally, how long does a non-elite or big prospect pitcher have to succeed before you guys start to trust him?

Eric,

I’d say a month (~5 starts) is a ballpark figure before I can feel totally confident using a guy for PoD purposes. In the case of Hernandez though, his track record hurts his cause as he’s let his fantasy owners down time and time again ever since that breakout ’07 season. I’m not sold on him yet, and keep in mind that his current strikeout rate is way higher than his career averages, so I’d expect significant regression there.

Zach

Hey Zach, just traded Partick Corbin, Starlin Castro, and Adam Eaton for Chris Sale, Joe Mauer, and Will Middlebrooks. I still have Jean Segura as SS and although it’s a 1 catcher league I’ve already been talking to another person about a Mauer trade (I have Rosario). How do you feel about the trade? 10 team H2H.

Thanks!

Tucker,

I’m OK with that. I love what I’m seeing from Segura, you’re getting a high-end catcher and a top flight SP. And it remains to be seen if Eaton will be as productive as he was last year once he comes back.

Zach

you might be right but sitting corbin seems ridiculous…

Ditch Corbin on Monday? Geez, what’s the guy gotta do to earn a Pitch? Coors Field notwithstanding!

Dropping A. Pettitte. Who would be the best pick-up? Jason Vargas, Bronson Arroyo or Juilo Teheran or maybe a spot start with Jerome Williams against Seattle

Maybe Wandy Rodriguez VS Cubs that one looks good?

Lucas,

Yeah, Wandy would be my choice.

Zach

Bench Corbin on Monday? Geez, what’s a guy gotta do to get a Pitch? Coors Field notwithstanding!

And just like that, Scott Kazmir gets dropped in 99.2% of leagues.

Awful to watch.

Corbin is a PITCH. J Williams is a lower-case pitch at home vs Seattle who travels from Cleveland to Anaheim.
