Pitch or Ditch for Friday, July 5

MLB: Spring Training-Miami Marlins at St. Louis Cardinals

Liriano @ Samardzija

Hudson @ Lee

M. Gonzalez @ Nova – Gonzalez on a roll

Porcello @ Masterson – Porcello falling back down to earth and I don’t like this matchup

Cashner @ G. Gonzalez

Correia @ Buehrle

Axelrod @ Hellickson – Hellickson seems to be back on track

Harang @ Latos

Harrell @ Tepesch

Wheeler @ Hellweg – Wheeler on thin ice but this is a solid matchup

Milone @ W. Davis – Davis worth monitoring but not startable coming off horrendous outing @MIN

Turner @ Westbrook – Turner has been lights out but I can’t help but think that a stat correction will come here

De La Rosa @ Skaggs

Doubront @ Wilson – Wilson putting his early-season struggles behind him

Ryu @ Bumgarner

hey guys,

who do you think will have a better second half?

Y.Gallardo, J.Peavy or R.Nolasco?

Right now I am using Gallardo as my 6th starter and hes
killing me. Peavy and Nolasco are available on the wire. My other starters are J.Weaver, Scherzer, Cain, Garza
and Latos. I also just picked up Cingrani. what are your thoughts?

Assuming no injury setbacks, I think Peavy will be the safest bet from here on out. But I haven’t given up on Gallardo just yet. Come to think of it, the rest of your staff is good enough that I might just stick with Gallardo for now, being that Peavy is still probably a couple weeks away from returning.

Hey guys

I got an offer of David Price, Balfour & Grilli for Kershaw in a 12 team 4 player Keeper League. I’m in desperate need of saves this season. Been scrambling all season and just lost Henderson, Bailey and Valverde plus Bell hasn’t exactly been state if the art.

He also has Crawford who I could potentially pry out in the deal for very little more.

He’s also offered Corbin instead of two closers.

I like that first offer. It’s a win now move that might not be so terrible long-term either, as the difference between Kershaw and Price isn’t enormous.
