Pitch or Ditch for Saturday-Monday, July 6-8

MLB: San Francisco Giants at Chicago Cubs

Tillman @ Pettitte – Pettitte very erratic lately, so if you want to sit him, I wouldn’t blame you

Pelfrey @ Dickey – Great matchup for Dickey

Parker @ Big Erv

An. Sanchez @ Carrasco

Keuchel @ Darvish

Sale @ Moore

Dempster @ TBD (LAA)

Eovaldi @ Kelly – Kelly a blue-plate special

Morton @ Jackson

Marquis @ Zimmermann

Bonderman @ Latos

Marcum @ Gallardo – Yo-Ga testing my patience but it’s the Mets

Maholm @ Kendrick – This could be 2-1 or 10-9

Fife @ Bumgarner

Pomeranz @ Miley

Hammel @ Kuroda

Fister @ Kluber – Kluber falling back down to earth and this matchup is too tough

Diamond @ Redmond

Danks @ Price – Danks worth considering in deep/non-mixed leagues

Griffin @ Mendoza

Bedard @ Grimm

Lackey @ Weaver

Saunders @ Arroyo

Erlin @ Strasburg

Medlen @ Pettibone

Hefner @ W. Peralta – Hefner is red-hot

J. Fernandez @ Lynn

Gomez @ Villanueva – Villanueva a nice under the radar play

Kershaw @ Gaudin

Oswalt @ Corbin

Guthrie @ Hughes – Your call on Guthrie but I just don’t see the upside

Holland @ Feldman

Scherzer @ Kazmir

Deduno @ R. Hernandez

Garza @ Santiago – Good matchup for Santiago

Lester @ King Felix – If you don’t feel comfortable pitching Lester here, you shouldn’t have him on your roster

Haren @ Lannan – Taking a wait and see approach on Haren

Colon @ Locke

Minor @ Slowey

Bailey @ Lohse

Greinke @ Delgado – Delgado is on a roll

Chatwood @ Volquez – Chatwood has been especially great away from Coors

Harvey @ Lincecum

With Carl Crawford and Lawrie coming back from the DL soon I have to drop 2. Brandon Crawford (has been sitting on my bench and is my backup SS to Castro), Rendon, Arcia (who I really like and think will get more RBI opportunities with Willingham out), or Garrett Jones (who has recently hit a couple homers).

It’s a tough one, as there’s a lot to like about all four, but I’d say drop Jones and Arcia, with a big reason being that outfielders in general are more expendable than infielders.

Pujous and Mclouth for Kemp and Trumbo. Fair trade?

Yeah, it’s fair, though at this point I’d rather have the Pujols/McLouth side.

well I am wondering if I should add a little depth to my bench….dropped Moose the other day to activate Everth and now wondering if he or Chisenhall are worth grabbing? I have 5 guys for Holds and my worst 2 would be Joe Smith who has not done much lately or Pestano who has just been bad this year….any idea on whats happened with him?

Five guys for holds is a bit excessive. I’d drop Smith for Moustakas.

addendum: Is Quentin worth a pick up in 12 team daily league or even A Rod?

All depends on who you’re dropping and your needs.

Hi Zach,
I hope you had a good 4th. Please rate the following OFs for ROS in a 10t, h2h, mixed league: Braun, Harper, Marte, McLouth, Carpenter, Parra, and Fowler.
Rich D.

Harper, Braun, Fowler, Carpenter, Marte, McLouth, Parra. Very tough though.

I Have 1 too many outfielders on my roster who do I drop… Brian Bogusevic, Jason Kubel, Cody Ross, Chris Denorfia or Will Venable

Just took over first and I’m about to get Lawrie and Fowler back. My of is still weak and my pitching and third base are really deep. I proposed a trade of Pedro Alvarez and latos for mccutchen. He is on the fence, so I was thinking of adding a closer to sweeten the deal. I lose saves every week so I think losing the closer wouldn’t really effect my team negatively at all. What do you think roll with what I have or

I actually think that your original offer is a fair one. Maybe I’d be willing to add a low-end closer, but definitely not a top-15 type.
