***ZACH SAYS “I think I’d give Albers, he of the 17 1/3 scoreless innings, a shot on Saturday vs. a White Sox offense that ranks dead last in the AL in runs scored. Ditch on the erratic Kazmir for Sunday. Two of his last three starts have been poor and the A’s can hit. Agree on rest.”

I’d say pitch on Albers. I am a Tribe fan, and I saw that game, the kid can’t strikeout too many batters, but he can sure eat up innings.

And why ditch on Arroyo, who’s pitching great, and at home vs the weak Arizona offense?

Yeah, I’d actually pitch on Arroyo. I guess I’m more of a believer in Bronson than Cory, but it’s true that he could blow up at any moment, which always makes him somewhat risky.

gaudin or pick up arrietta?

I do think that Arrieta’s resurgence is for real but would still feel a bit more comfortable with Gaudin, despite his recent blowup @MIA. This could change though with one more poor outing.
