Pitch or Ditch for Wednesday, April 2

MLB: Spring Training-Chicago White Sox at Texas Rangers

Vargas @ Scherzer

Correia @ Paulino – Paulino has legit K upside if he can stay healthy

Kluber @ Kazmir (Gm 1 of doubleheader)

McAllister @ Lindblom (Gm 2 of doubleheader)

Lackey @ Jimenez – not trusting Ubaldo yet vs. big offenses

Buehrle @ Moore

Kuroda @ Cosart – keep an eye on Cosart if K rate rebounds

Kendrick @ R. Ross

Paxton @ Santiago – wait and see on Paxton

Harang @ Garza

Jackson @ Morton

Wacha @ Cingrani – NC-17

G. Gonzalez @ Colon

Lyles @ Alvarez – love Alvarez at home vs. weak road offense

Hudson @ Cahill – good matchup for Cahill, take a shot

Haren @ T. Ross

Couple of questions.
First, I’m looking at some upside hitters in a keeper league that can help this year. Choices are Almonte, Castellanos, Semien, Arcia, Ozuna, Dominguez, Olt. Can you rank them for this year?
Second, I like to use setup men to round out my pitching staff. Had great luck with Trevor Rosenthal last year. Who could be this year’s Trevor Rosenthal?

For this season, Ozuna, Dominguez and Castellanos would be my top 3. As far as setup men go, Brothers, Allen, Melancon and Clippard are four current setup men who have a great shot to close at some point this season. And even if they never close, they’ll provide top notch ratios.

Cory you loved Alvarez, so in Schwartz i trust. So should have went with Harang, but there was love. I think a podcast will make up for it🙂
