Pitch or Ditch for Tuesday, April 22

MLB: Cincinnati Reds at New York Mets

CORY’S PICKS

Shields @ Salazar – I’ll stick with Salazar and his dominating stuff
M. Gonzalez @ Dickey – bench but don’t cut struggling Dickey
Leesman @ Verlander
Tanaka
@ Lester
Gibson @ Price – not buying in on Gibson just yet
Martinez @ Milone – Milone is a solid play at home
McHugh @ E. Ramirez – sticking with Erasmo at home vs. weak offense
Skaggs @ Jordan
Cueto @ Volquez
Fernandez @ A. Wood
Wainwright
@ Gee – Gee is HR-prone but he’s at home and Cards aren’t crushing (yet)
McCarthy @ Hammel – I expect McCarthy to get on a roll but will bench him ‘til he does
Kennedy @ Gallardo
Bumgarner
@ Morales
Burnett @ Ryu

Thx for the list , as always.
In standard 5×5 , for 2014 only, would you drop Kluber to pick up Trevor Bauer?
Thank you

Nah. Despite the erratic start, I still think that Kluber has all the skills to succeed. Bauer might be the higher upside play, but who knows how many innings he’ll get in the Majors this year.

You really trust Salazar at this point?

Im in an NL only league if you hadn’t noticed by now but serious question, I have Scooter Gennett at 2B and Cozart at MI and Peralta at SS Mesoraco at DH and Kolten Wong just became a free agent I would like to know if you like him more than any of those guys. Thanks

Yes, I’d take Wong over Cozart any day of the week. I’ve pretty much had it with Cozart.

Rank the following for ROTS (my guesses in parenthesis):
Lincecum (2), Morrow (4), Quintana (3), Eovaldi (1)

Eovaldi and Lincecum are close, as it’s the known commodity who has both upside and downside versus an emerging breakout candidate who, over the long haul, could disappoint as well. But I’ll agree with those rankings.
