Pitch or Ditch for Tuesday, August 5

MLB: Detroit Tigers at Los Angeles Angels

Cueto @ Tomlin
Price @ Kuroda – Kuroda has been a little better lately.
Norris @ Buehrle – Not trusting Buehrle here.
Lewis @ Danks
Hahn @ Hughes – Favorable matchup for both.
Smyly @ Hammel – Taking a break from Smyly in tough matchup, so expect a shutout!
A. Wood @ King Felix
Wheeler @ G. Gonzalez
Keuchel @ Kendrick
Hand @ Morton – Morton a little risky here, but he’s rarely terrible.
Lincecum @ Nelson – Lincecum’s last two starts concern me while Nelson has been solid over his last two.
R. De La Rosa @ Lynn – Rubby 3 ER or less in five of his last six outings.
T. Wood @ B. Anderson – Anderson has pitched pretty well this year but I’m scared to start him at Coors.
Duffy @ Miley – Miley has struggled at home but Royals offense is mediocre at best.
Santiago @ Kershaw – Santiago a sneaky play in deeper leagues though.

Michae; Bourn is a free agent in my league and should be going to a rehab assignment real soon, my OF consist of Mike Trout, Matt Holliday, Brett Gardner, Carlos Beltran and Austin Jackson (BN). Is it worth picking him up and dropping one of my OFs or even one of my other bench players (Casey McGehee, Chase Headley, Jedd Gyorko). This is how my team looks as of now on a H2H, 14 teams leagues;
Devin Mesoraco Cin – C
Víctor Martínez Det – 1B
Dustin Pedroia Bos – 2B
Evan Longoria TB – 3B
Starlin Castro ChC – SS
Chase Headley NYY – 3B
Mike Trout LAA – OF
Carlos Beltrán NYY – OF
Brett Gardner NYY – OF
Matt Holliday StL – OF
Jonathan Lucroy Mil – C,1B
Casey McGehee Mia – 1B,3B
Austin Jackson Sea – OF
Jedd Gyorko SD – 2B,3B

John Lackey StL – SP
Brandon McCarthy NYY – SP
Jordan Zimmermann Was – SP
Ian Kennedy SD – SP
Francisco Rodríguez Mil – RP
Huston Street LAA – RP
Joaquín Benoit SD – RP
Dellin Betances NYY – RP
Danny Salazar Cle – SP
Justin Masterson StL – SP
Vance Worley Pit – SP
Masahiro Tanaka NYY – SP Disabled List
Matt Lindstrom CWS – RP Disabled List

Yeah, I think picking up Bourn is a good idea. It’s not like you’re stacked in steals. I’d lean towards dropping McGehee, who has really struggled since the All-Star break.

Congratulations on finally quitting Smyly. I know it must be hard but you’re doing the right thing. Your road to recovery will be paved in Wins now. Stay clean.

A CG SHO is coming. Bank on it!

Ros……Brett Anderson or Mike minor

Short term, you probably want to take a break from Minor. But long term (final two months), I’ll stick with Minor. I don’t trust Anderson at all when he’s at home.
