Kyle Hendricks

Zimmermann @ Hendricks – Going with Hendricks despite tough matchup.

Feldman @ Tillman

Vargas @ Warren – Keep an eye on Warren but I don’t like this matchup.

Urena @ Locke

Danks @ Dickey – More downside than upside with Dickey.

Wandy @ Salazar – More upside than downside with Salazar.

J. De La Rosa @ Lorenzen

Williams @ deGrom

Happ @ Colome – Colome a toss-up. Pitch only in deeper leagues.

Bumgarner @ Garza

Buchholz @ Pelfrey – I’m never going to recommend Buchholz.

Bradley @ Garcia – Bradley needs to be more consistent. Garcia needs to cut down on the walks.

Teheran @ Kershaw

Despaigne @ Shoemaker – Tough to trust Shoemaker right now.

Price @ Chavez – Challenging matchup for Chavez but he’s earned it.

Is it time to start panicking on Holland and Kimbrel as closers this year? This was an area that I thought I would dominate and I’m actually in last place. My current closers are those 2 as well as Jansen and I just picked up Tolleson A few days ago. Of course I just got Kimbrel last week in a trade as well but these two scare me.

Also do you think Arod and Howard are must own players or would you rather start guys like H. Kendrick and D.Pedrioa at IF and Util?

Thank you as always

I wouldn’t worry about Kimbrel/Holland. Both have excellent track records, and the Kimbrel/Holland/Jansen trio is about as good as it gets.

From an overall value standpoint, I prefer Pedroia (less downside) to A-Rod/Howard but it really depends on where you stand in home runs. Power is so scarce these days that you might not be able to afford losing A-Rod/Howard. Not a clear-cut decision by any means.
