Zach’s Two-Start Pitcher Notes – Week of 8/31

Jeff Samardzija

Farmer @ Hutchison – Hutchison has been better lately but I still don’t trust him.

Kelly @ deGrom

Lynn @ Vogelsong

Medlen @ Odorizzi – Medlen a must-add in all leagues if still available.

Rusin @ Happ

Koehler @ Zimmermann – Only pitch Koehler at home.

Rea @ Morgan

Sampson @ Garza – Garza struggling lately.

Fiers @ Pelfrey

Richards @ TBD (CLE)

Severino @ Wisler

Iwakuma @ Samardzija – Samardzija continues to tease us, but I’m giving up on him.

Jimenez @ M. Perez

Doubront @ Chacin

Lester @ Latos – Latos is a ditch until further notice.

Simon @ Buehrle – Buehrle is the ultimate chasing wins pitcher. I’ll give it a shot.

Miley @ Syndergaard – Miley too unpredictable and Mets offense is hot.

Duffy @ Karns – I’ve lost a lot of confidence in Karns.

Weaver @ Kluber – Weaver a toss-up but he hasn’t been good on the road and Indians are swinging the bats well of late.

J. De La Rosa @ Morton – Morton is 5-1 with a 2.82 ERA in eight home starts this year.

Hand @ Strasburg

Eovaldi @ Teheran – Eovaldi coming off his best start of the season. Teheran going for his sixth straight quality start, and he’s 7-1 with a 2.55 ERA at home.

Shields @ Williams

Lamb @ Peralta – Decent matchup for Peralta but he’s been way too inconsistent lately.

McCullers @ Big Erv – McCullers a bit risky though.

Montgomery @ Quintana

M. Gonzalez @ Holland – Benching Holland one more time in not so great matchup.

Garcia @ Heston – Heston has been out of whack recently.

Chavez @ Ray

Arrieta @ Al. Wood – Not overly confident in Wood, but I’ll pitch.

Nova @ E. Rodriguez – Taking a break from Nova.

Archer @ W. Chen – Chen has been pitching well enough to trust vs. Rays.

Salazar @ Price

Narveson @ Miller

Eickhoff @ Colon – Eickhoff isn’t 12-team mixed league material just yet. Favorable matchup for Colon, who dominated Phils on Wednesday.

Lorenzen @ Hendricks

Nuno @ Keuchel

G. Gonzalez @ Lackey – Gio a borderline call here, but for PoD purposes I’ll pass.

Ray @ Bettis

Santiago @ Doubront – Santiago has been very shaky lately.

Peavy @ B. Anderson – Peavy a viable option in deeper leagues though as Dodgers offense has been ice cold this month (13th in NL in runs).

Lewis @ T. Ross – Lewis could pitch well here, but I’ll never fully trust him.

Starting to wonder what’s going on with trout? He’s hitting under .200 sinse the all star break. He doesn’t look like himself. I’m also a little worried about miggy. Do you think age is starting to catch up to him?

Not worried at all about either, though it is nice to know that Trout is human after all!

10T h2h 15×15 no cost keeper, prospecting for my next “1/1A”…(1) How would you rank these top down as keepers (listed as I see them right now);
-Steven Matz, -Yordano Ventura, -Raisel Iglesias, -Carlos Rodon, -Joe Ross, -Taijuan Walker, -Taylor Jungmann …………(2) Do you think; Rodon has turned the inconsistency corner and…has Walker mostly ceilinged (2012&13 he was touted ahead of Fernandez and Cole!) Would you still wait on him? As always, thanks for your insight. – RK

Just answered this on the previous post.

Looks like Bassitt and King Felix are both being skipped
