Zach’s Two-Start Pitcher Notes – Week of 9/7

Mark Buehrle

Moore @ Eovaldi

Doyle @ Price

Peralta @ Lamb – Peralta still too inconsistent to trust in 12-team mixed leagues.

Ray @ Arrieta – Risk outweighs the reward with Ray.

Asher @ Miley – Miley worth considering in deep mixed/AL-only leagues though.

Morton @ Garcia – Morton’s road ERA this season is 5.62.

Miller @ G. Gonzalez – Tasty matchup for Gio despite his inconsistency.

Salazar @ Simon

Quintana @ Duffy

Big Erv @ McCullers – Erv has been a major headache for his owners this year.

Colon @ Hand – I’m expecting another strong outing from Colon.

Peavy @ Bettis

Al. Wood @ T. Ross

King Felix @ Chavez – I’ll give Chavez a try here (2.85 ERA at home).

Holland @ Weaver – I think it’s safe to say that Holland is back.

Archer @ Nova – Nova a toss-up. Let the standings make the decision for you.

Tillman @ Buehrle – Buehrle has pitched well against O’s this year (3-0, 3.24 ERA in four starts).

TBD (CLE) @ Verlander – Verlander 2 ER or less in seven of his last eight starts.

Nelson @ Lorenzen – Nelson has struggled at times versus Reds this season but I’ll give it a go regardless.

Matz @ Narveson

Eickhoff @ E. Rodriguez – Eickhoff has been impressive but I’m not quite ready to pitch him at Fenway. Rodriguez a viable option in deeper leagues.

Banuelos @ J. Ross

E. Johnson @ Cueto

Duffey @ Keuchel

R. De La Rosa @ Hendricks – Rubby is 6-1 with a 3.32 ERA in nine starts since the All-Star break.

Lewis @ Santiago – I’m having a tough time trusting either of these guys.

Iwakuma @ Doubront

Greinke @ Cashner

Bumgarner @ Flande

Cole @ Lackey

W. Chen @ Pineda – Chen coming off shaky outing, so I’ll play it safe for this matchup.

Niese @ Scherzer – Niese struggling and Nats bats remain dangerous.

Smyly @ Wolf – Smyly was outstanding in his last start but he has yet to post back-to-back quality starts since returning from the DL.

Locke @ DeSclafani

Davies @ Nicolino – Four straight quality starts for Nicolino. I’ll give him a shot here.

Buehrle @ Porcello

Bauer @ Sale

Haren @ Lynn – I’ll pitch Haren versus mid-tier at best Cardinals lineup.

Fiers @ Doubront

Kendrick @ Kennedy – Kennedy is a PoD grad again.

Leake @ Corbin – The matchup isn’t great for Leake but I’ll go ahead and pitch him anyway.

Gallardo @ Elias – Gallardo is too risky right now.

W. Perez @ Harang – This has slugfest written all over it.

Milone @ Ventura – Ventura 2 ER or less in each of his last five starts.

Greinke @ Tropeano
