Updated Pitch or Ditch Category Chart (9/3)

Zach’s Two-Start Pitcher Notes – Week of 9/21

Tom Koehler

Jimenez @ G. Gonzalez

Severino @ Estrada – Too risky for Severino at Rogers Centre.

Quintana @ D. Norris

Wisler @ Verrett

Harang @ Koehler – Koehler is solid at home and the Phillies have returned to (poor) form.

Moore @ Owens

Cravy @ Arrieta

Salazar @ Big Erv

Santiago @ McCullers – Santiago has collapsed in the second half.

Iwakuma @ Guthrie

Sampson @ Lackey

Happ @ Rusin

M. Perez @ Nolin

Ray @ Al. Wood

Heston @ T. Ross

***ZACH SAYS “I’d go ahead and pitch McCullers, who is 4-0 with a 1.61 ERA in nine home starts this season and has allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his last five starts. Ditch on Moore. I don’t trust him at Fenway. Agree on rest.”

Pick up robbie Ross for saves? Would drop K Herrera for him but we do have holds. Need to win this week to make finals and have 3 so so closers and 5 guys for holds currently

Sure. It’s really a category based decision. If you think it makes sense based on your position in the standings, go for it.

Lucroy returning soon? Would drop weiters for him?

I’d pass on adding LuCroy in a non-keeper. It sounds like his return is not imminent and with the Brewers out of contention, I can see them just shutting him down.
