Derek Holland

ZACH’S PICKS

Morton @ Stephenson – Playing it safe with Stephenson in his big league debut despite tempting matchup.

Latos @ Graveman – Graveman a decent option in AL-only leagues though.

Fiers @ Eovaldi – Tough matchup for both but I’ll give it a shot.

Conley @ Roark – There’s a lot to like about Conley this year.

Wood @ Peavy – Pitching both, but both are a little risky.

Kelly @ Salazar (PPD)

Hughes @ Jimenez – I don’t like the matchup for Hughes and I don’t trust Ubaldo.

Lackey @ R. De La Rosa

Holland @ Santiago – It’s only two games, but the Angels offense isn’t looking good so far (.115 AVG, 1 R), so I’ll pitch Holland. I’m also pitching Santiago at home, where he registered a 2.65 ERA last season.

Hey Zach,

Just drafted in a 12 team 7×7 mixed league with new stats & NO bench.
(H, R, HR, BB, K, AVG, NSB)
(W, L, SV, ERA, WHIP, QS, K)

Mind taking a look at my roster and advise on weaknesses?

Posey, Miggy, Rendon, Arenado, C. Seager, Blackmon, Revere, Braun, Kemp, & K. Morales

Lester, Stroman, C.Martinez(STL), Tanaka, Smyly, W.Davis, Zeigler, Jeffress, Hoover, & Doolittle. (Have 4SP, 4RP, & 2P)

Also trying to determine which pitcher to drop to use for POD, any thoughts?

Appreciate your insight as always,

I don’t see many weaknesses here. Maybe at #2 closer, but you have so many options there that you could be fine. If even two of those four manage to hold onto the job for the entire season, you’ll be in good shape.

None of those SPs belong on the waiver wire, so if you need to drop one of them for PoD, I’d simply hold off on PoD for now.

Zach
