ZACH’S PICKS

Eickhoff @ Garcia – Tough matchup for Eickhoff but I have confidence in him.

Fulmer @ Bauer – Let me see more than just one start from Fulmer.

Tanaka @ Gausman

Holland @ Happ – Both of these guys have pitched well so far, but this has the makings of a slugfest.

Ray @ Conley – Ray could bounce back here in favorable matchup, but I’ll play it safe with him for now.

Ch. Anderson @ Simon

J. Ross @ Hendricks

Owens @ E. Johnson – Keep an eye on both though.

Miley @ Devenski

deGrom @ Rea

Rusin @ Cain

Zach,

10 team roto league 7×7 (TB,K / L,QS).

Carlos Gomez has been dropped and I know he’s been aweful but I’m curious if you would drop Parra to pick him up. He would be a bench player. My OF starters are Trout, Cutch, Cain and I am using Fowler at UT. So either parra or gomez would be my 5th OF.

Dmenz

Yeah, I’d take a chance on Gomez over Parra.

Hey Zach,

Got Revere coming off DL Thursday so I have a choice to make: Ellsbury or Revere. I picked up Conforto but can’t fathom dropping him.

Trade High candidate or legit?

Guess there’s 2 questions in there…
Thanks as always

Tough to give up on Ellsbury but I’d go with Revere since he has the higher SB ceiling and will likely post a higher AVG. Ellsbury obviously has the edge in HR potential but he also has just one home run through 25 games, so it’s not like we can write him in for 15.

I think Conforto is legit. Hang onto him.

Zach

I see someone in my league needs a 3b and I have Rendon and Castellanos, I was thinking of offering him Castellanos for Grichuk. Whether it’s castellanos or Grichuk I’ll play them in UTL so it’s just a matter of who you like rest of season?

Grichuk probably has the higher power ceiling but his AVG is terrible and he’s striking out a ton. With the way Castellanos has been hitting, I’d just hold onto him or aim a bit higher in trade talks.
