Matt Wisler

ZACH’S PICKS

Wisler @ Nola – Wisler holds a 1.93 ERA and 0.90 WHIP over his last three starts and Phillies rank 29th in Majors in runs scored.

Butler @ Cole

Kluber @ Buchholz

Andriese @ An. Sanchez – Tough to bench Andriese right now. Anibal a borderline call, but I do like this matchup.

Iwakuma @ Straily – Straily a decent play in deeper formats though.

Peralta @ Matz

Roark @ Nicolino – Roark just got roughed up by these very same Marlins but he’s been impressive overall. Nicolino just got roughed up by these very same Nationals and I don’t trust him.

Gee @ Quintana

Ar. Sanchez @ Duffey – Not concerned about Sanchez. Duffey an intriguing option in deeper leagues but this is a scary matchup.

Lewis @ McCullers – Waiting for McCullers to shake off the rust.

Corbin @ C. Martinez – Corbin has been shaky at times this season and he struggled versus Cardinals last month.

Sabathia @ S. Gray – Sticking with Gray.

M. Wright @ Santiago – Santiago a little risky here but I’ll go for it.

Arrieta @ Peavy

Kazmir @ Friedrich

I have just about had it with Prince Fielder. Should I drop him for Evan Gattis?

No, not yet. I might try to pick up Gattis anyway though, depending on what the rest of your roster looks like.

Hey Zach –

I’m curious as to what your thoughts on Harvey (NYM) are? I do have him on one of my teams and I’m not ready to throw in the towel on him. However, I haven’t seen anything in regards to a possible injury, mechanical issue, or fatigue. Any insight on your part?

Thanks.

Rich D.

I think you just have to hang onto him and wait it out. You’re not going to get fair value in a trade right now and Harvey reportedly looked good in a simulated game over the weekend, so that’s at least somewhat encouraging.

Zach

Hey Zach,

Do you like Cron, Plouffe or Pearce to fill corner infield til Teixeira turns it around? Thanks!

I’ll say Pearce. He’s been swinging the hottest bat of late.

Zach
