Ervin Santana

ZACH’S PICKS

Odorizzi @ Koehler – Koehler an intriguing play in deep mixed/NL-only leagues.

Miller @ Liriano – Liriano has been inconsistent this season but I still trust him.

Harvey @ Strasburg – Call me crazy but I’ll give Harvey one more chance, despite tough matchup.

Dickey @ Eovaldi – Not liking this matchup for Eovaldi.

Hammel @ Wacha

J. De La Rosa @ Price

Nelson @ Teheran

Hellickson @ Verlander – I’m not a big believer in Hellickson and this is a challenging matchup.

Chacin @ M. Perez – Perez a decent deep-league option.

Tillman @ Fister

Tomlin @ Sale – Tomlin has been impressive but I’m still skeptical.

Volquez @ Big Erv – I’ll never fully trust Volquez. Big Erv coming off strong outing vs. Blue Jays and Royals are surprisingly tied for last in the AL in runs scored.

D. Wright @ Bolsinger

Graveman @ Karns

Cashner @ Samardzija – Taking a wait and see approach with Cashner in his return from the DL.

I’m in 10 team H2H keeper league w/5 keepers, plus two rookie keepers. No penalty, keep as long as want. My keepers are Kershaw, Bautista, N. Cruz, Ch. Davis, and Votto. Rookies are Pedersen and Buxton. Honestly, second to last place, only consistent player has always been, Kershaw. Current SP’s are Keuchel, G. Gonzalez, Verlander, and Gray.(UGH) League mate put out feelers regarding Kershaw and potentially offering Goldschmidt or Rizzo. Kershaw’s my guy(Dodger fan), and really is joined at the hip to me. Should I let him go for the possible trade? My team sucks, but feel like I will have zero pitching after the deal. Thanks.

That’s a tough call. I don’t think you can go wrong either way, but I’d lean towards keeping Kershaw, partly because all of your other keepers are hitters. Not to mention the emotional toll that comes with saying goodbye to a personal favorite!
