Chris Archer

Harvey @ Giolito – Harvey has a 2.88 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through four June starts. Favorable matchup for Giolito in his debut.

Hamels @ Sabathia – Sabathia a bit too risky here.

Porcello @ Archer – Scary matchup for Archer (4 1/3 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 3 BB vs. Red Sox on 4/20). I’ll sit this one out.

Lester @ Lamb

Kluber @ Wisler

Conley @ Pelfrey – Challenging matchup for Conley though.

Urias @ Ch. Anderson – I’m comfortable with Urias now.

Gibson @ Quintana

Wacha @ Ventura – Wacha pitching well lately.

Happ @ Butler – Playing it safe with Happ at Coors.

Eickhoff @ Greinke – Eickhoff 3 ER or fewer in each of his last five starts.

Feldman @ Lincecum

Jimenez @ E. Johnson

Niese @ Iwakuma – Still a believer in Iwakuma.

Graveman @ Suarez

I’m in a 12 team dynasty league and need to drop someone in order to “call up” giolito. I’m considering dropping shields. Is there a reason to think he’ll come out of this funk or am I fine in dropping him?

Depends on your other options but in a 12-team mixed league, dropping Shields is a reasonable move.

What are your thoughts on Pomeranz going forward? I was considering dropping Zimmerman to pick him up. Zimmerman has been pretty bad sinse may and his k/9 is the worst of his career. What do you think?
The other option is to drop a bench hitter like K.Morales or Reyes who I just picked up. Any advice is appreciated.

I’m bullish on Pomeranz going forward and would certainly find a way to add him. As for who to drop, a lot depends on the rest of your roster and the depth at the various positions, but I’d be fine with dropping any one of the players you mention here to pick up Pomeranz.
